"A Year in the Sunny State of Chill" documents Schirmer's time spent living in Oakland California. From January 2015 to December 2016 she held a plethora of odd jobs, went on a "few" tinder dates, and was a member of Kala Art Institute. It is with these drawings and bullet points that she revisits small moments for each month she was out west in hopes to find comic relief in shared experience.
